Hotel and Travel Information
The 2023 ISDDE Conference will be hosted at Boston University in Boston, MA. Boston University is a large, world-class, private research university located in the midst of a thriving metropolis. The main part of campus is situated right on south bank of the Charles River on Commonwealth Avenue. Our main conference events will be at 43 Hawes Street, Brookline, MA 02446.
This building is also known as the Wightman Mansion, which was originally designed in 1902 as the primary residence for George H. Wightman, Esq.. Read more about this building here.
Flying To the Conference
The most convenient airport is the Boston Logan Airport. Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are available to bring you to the conference location. In addition, the MBTA (Boston’s metropolitan transit authority) functions well and can bring you within a block of the conference location.
Driving to the Conference
Parking is limited at the conference and participants are strongly encouraged to take public transportation. However, a limited number of parking passes are available for the conference. Please indicate that you need a parking pass when you register. You will be contacted for more information needed to arrange for parking.
Staying at the Conference
For convenience, we have arranged for small blocks of rooms at 4 local hotels within walking distance of the conference. These were selected to offer a mixture of types of hotels to accommodate different needs and wants. Room rates listed below are at a significant discount, given that hotels in Boston during October normally go for more than $400 per night. In general, these rates will only be offered until September 15, when the rooms will be released to the general public. Please use the links below to make your arrangements.
