Philadelphia Morgan

Philadelphia Morgan is a second-year early childhood education PhD student at the University of Colorado, Denver. As a former special education teacher, Philadelphia understands the need for improved inclusive practices in public education systems and the unique challenges faced by educators and families in these settings. More recently, Philadelphia has worked with Latine educators and families. Philadelphia is passionate about researching the experiences of families and educators in the practices that support dual-language learners. Philadelphia is currently working on a federally funded study through the Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) examining how place-based professional development and coaching support early childhood educators in their work with young dual language learners. Philadelphia is also and Office of Special Education (OSEP) Scholar.
