Institute Director Dina Castro recognized with inaugural Bahamdan Endowed Professorship

In December of last year, Kamal Bahamdan endowed to Wheelock College a chair in early childhood well-being. Bahamdan, an alumnus of the BU College of Engineering, is committed to supporting high quality education through the activities of the Bahamdan Group which educates more than 50,000 students across the world.

Earlier this month, BU welcomed Bahamdan to Boston and Dr. Dina Castro was officially recognized as the inaugural Bahamdan Endowed Professor in Early Childhood Well-Being. The events featured a symposium highlighting Institute-sponsored research. Bahamdan recognizes BU’s Wheelock College as a global leader in education and hopes to see the Institute driving curriculum improvement, policy action, and workforce development through its innovative research in the field of early childhood well-being.
