A Guide for Research Using Medicaid Claims Data
Sarah Gordon, professor in the Department of Health Law, Policy, and Management, co-authored a study published in JAMA Health Forum titled “The T-MSIS Analytic Files (TAF) Analysis Reporting Checklist: A Guide for Research Using Medicaid Claims Data.” The paper introduces a standardized checklist to improve transparency and consistency in research used to inform Medicaid policy.
The checklist has been referenced in a policy document, “Black-White Racial Differences in Asthma Medication Receipt among Medicaid-Enrolled Children.”
