Could Hepatitis C Drugs Help Treat PTSD?
Certain direct-acting antiviral drugs appeared to reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans treated for hepatitis C, according to researcher lead by senior study author Jaimie Gradus. Gradus and her team first conducted an exploratory analysis to look for existing drugs that might improve PTSD using VA electronic health records from 168,941 veterans over a 20-year period.
