Student to Conduct Field Research in Rocky Mountain National Park

This summer, John Lambert (BU SPH ā€™24, Epidemiology & Biostatistics) will move to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado to conduct field research related to the epidemiology of at-risk populations and to study trends in search and rescue within the park. John is the recipient of the Bailey Fellowship from the Rocky Mountain Conservancy and will be bringing a public health lens to help inform park management decision making. ā€œIā€™m really excited to bring my passion for public health and my love of nature together through this fellowship,” John says. “I believe my work has high potential to inform visitor and management decisions, leading to tangible changes that benefit public health outcomes. I feel incredibly thankful for the opportunity to propose and now implement this project.ā€ The Center for Climate and Health is proud to help fund this student practicum that ties together epidemiology, climate change, and public health in our national parks.
