Bio Speckle Dynamics Lab

Welcome to the world of Speckle!

 

Our research revolves around cutting-edge speckle-based optical techniques to measure both animal and human brain dynamics and function, particularly laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) and speckle contrast optical spectroscopy (SCOS). We are also working on other brain imaging modalities including multi-photon microscopy (MPM), optical coherence tomography (OCT), functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), and diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS). Complementing our experimental endeavors, we are developing theoretical models and numerical tools to interpret experimental observations thus enhancing our understanding of the brain in health and disease.

We are a part of the Bio Optical & Acoustic Spectroscopy Lab and the Neurophotonics Center.
