The Boston University Neuromotor Recovery Laboratory (NRL) is a translational and multidisciplinary research laboratory. Our goal is to develop and test rehabilitation technologies and interventions that emphasize the restoration of healthy movement behavior in those living with stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions.

Featured research: Move Over, Iron Man

Our rehabilitation scientists are clinicians, engineers, and researchers that are skilled in the planning and execution of both development-focused and hypothesis-driven experiments. In partnership with engineering and industry collaborators, the NRL leads and participates in the development and translation of next generation rehabilitation technologies and interventions that can facilitate new clinical and community-based rehabilitation paradigms.
