Why Women’s Health?
Sex dymorphism is observed in cardiovascular health particularly in post-menopause females; role of reproductive hormones and/or sex chromosomes on the cardiovascular system is not fully understood; my expertise is on arterial remodeling in aging with a focus on smooth muscle cells; these cells are also present in the uterus so they may affect reproduction and pregnancy-related conditions, an area I am interested in exploring further.
