Why Women’s Health?
Some cardiovascular diseases disproportionately affect women. Yet, women and female animal models continue to be underrepresented in clinical, translational, and basic research studies of cardiovascular pathophysiology. In our lab, we include both sexes and individuals across different genetic ancestries in our research studies to advance our knowledge of the cardiovascular health of women from many diverse backgrounds.
