Virtual Workshop Series: Where Is Energy Storage Headed?

The Institute of Sustainable Energy at BU together with the support of the Division of Materials Science and Engineering and the College of Engineering hosts this exciting virtual workshop series on challenges and future directions in electrochemical energy storage research: https://www.bu.edu/ise/2022/01/04/workshop-series-where-is-energy-storage-headed/

This series of 4 virtual workshops in January and February of 2022 is free of charge for attendees and each features 3 talks and panel discussion by a host of exciting speakers that are subject matter experts in the following areas:

  1. Integrating Experimental and Computational Approaches Across Scales – January 14th, featuring Fikile Brushet (MIT), Partha Mukherjee (Purdue), and David Pendergast (LBNL)
  2. Interfacial Phenomena in Electrochemical Systems – January 28th, featuring Veronica Augustyn (NC State), Thomas Senftle (Rice), and Iryna Zenyuk (UCI)
  3. Challenges of Degradation in Long-term Operation – February 11th, featuring Olga Marina (PNNL), Jeff Dahn (Dalhousie), and Elango Elangovan (OxEon Energy)
  4. The Future of Electrochemical Systems – New Architectures and Functional Materials – February 25th, featuring Amy Prieto (Colorado State), Bruce Dunn (UCLA), and Sara Thoi (JHU)
