Arvids A. Ziedonis

Arvids A. Ziedonis is a TPRI Faculty Fellow and is a Research Professor in Strategy and Innovation at Boston University Questrom School of Business. He is also a Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Economics and Business at KU Leuven.  He earned a Ph.D. in Business and Public Policy, an MBA and an MS in Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.

Professor Ziedonis’ research focuses on markets for technology and the commercialization of scientific discoveries and embryonic technologies.  His work has been published in Management Science, Advances in Strategic Management, Journal of Technology Transfer, International Journal of Industrial Organization, and Research Policy.  Professor Ziedonis has also co-authored a book on the commercialization of university science, Ivory Tower and Industrial Innovation.  His doctoral thesis was awarded the 2003 prize for Best Dissertation in Technology Management by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
