National Survey of Auto Suppliers 2018
Today’s auto industry faces both challenges and opportunities. Many suppliers report difficulty in finding enough workers with the right skills. Meanwhile, automation and artificial intelligence could potentially revolutionize manufacturing. Pitfalls abound, such as increased capital costs and risks of choosing the wrong direction in a rapidly-changing field.
We’ve designed a study to address these challenges, at your firm and throughout the supply chain. Investing 5-10 minutes to answer a few questions about your firm will yield returns to you, your firm, and the industry.
- All participants will receive a free, personalized benchmarking report, including data from peer firms on wages, automation levels, and customer practices. We will also award $100 prizes to 45 randomly-chosen people who complete the survey.
- Firms in any tier of the supply chain for new cars or light trucks are eligible. Our study includes firms making materials, tooling, or parts.
- Responses are confidential: the university researchers conducting the study will not release information that would make it possible to identify individual respondents or their firms.
Take the Survey
We’ve designed three short surveys (5-10 minutes each) that cover different areas of a
firm. Together, they’ll give a comprehensive picture that we’ll use to put together your
benchmarking report and an overall picture of the industry. Please fill out the survey or
surveys that correspond to your area of responsibility or knowledge in your firm:
