🔬 Excited to start a new 1 year PSRC/PSF (Plastic Surgery Research Council/Plastic Surgery Foundation) Pilot Grant with Mark Grinstaff’s lab https://www.grinstaff.org/ at BU whose group developed a modified self-amplifying RNA platform that enables sustained, high-level protein expression from a tiny dose, and we’re now leveraging it to target uPAR, a receptor upregulated on senescent cells, to redirect the body’s own T cells to selectively clear them. A genuinely exciting new way to target senescence. 🎯
