Shaunesse’ Jacobs
Trainee
Shaunesse’ Jacobs is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Constructive Theology and Ethics at the School of Theology. Her research centers black women’s health and wellness and determine ways that communities can use religious identities to cope with injustices in the U.S. healthcare system. She hopes to craft new ways to increase black church advocacy in reducing the public health crisis of maternal mortality. Other research interests include ethical analyses of policy measures that impact maternal care, worker benefits for the direct care workforce, and healthcare payer options.
