Distinguished Professor of Engineering Christos Cassandras specializes in discrete event and hybrid systems, cooperative control, stochastic optimization, distributed optimization, computer simulation. He has published over 450 refereed papers and six books and is Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control (1998-2009) and several other editorial positions. He is the recipient of several awards, and is a Fellow of IEEE, IFAC and IETI. He is also co-founder of Boston University’s Center for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE).
