“The purpose of my project will be to help Partners for World Health better serve the needs of their community by sourcing unused medical equipment from local medical centers for redistribution to individuals, communities, and healthcare facilities in need. I will also be responsible for connecting with clients in low-resource settings to help them better utilize the equipment provided to them by Partners for World Health. Deliverables for this project may look like educational materials to help recipients troubleshoot and maintenance their equipment, an intake/distribution process improvement plan, or a solidified outreach strategy for donor recruitment. As a trained Biomedical Engineer studying Global Health and Human Rights & Social Justice, I am passionate about medical device accessibility.”
