Public Health Training Centers’ Collective Impact in Training the Workforce
NETPHC is pleased to present the three year summary of the HRSA-funded Regional Public Health Training Centers data. From July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021, the PHTCs have trained 751,888 participants in the public health workforce through 7,846 trainings. This demonstrates how the PHTCs collaborate together nationally to provide workforce training and tools, and also focus regionally to serve the needs of each unique region. We thank HRSA for the Public Health Training Center Program, which supports a university-based PHTC in each of the ten HHS Regions to provide generally free training to the current workforce and stipends for field placement for students in public health. Public Health Training Centers focus on training and placement that will support medically underserved communities.
