Resource: Scan of Strategic Skills Training funded by R2PHTC
NEPHTC thanks our colleagues at Region 2 Public Health Training Center for funding a resource that is timely and helpful for workforce development coordinators across the field of Public Health. NEPHTC and Region 2 PHTC are part of the Public Health Learning Network (PHLN), , a consortium of regional Public Health Training Centers, the country’s most comprehensive resource for public health workforce development.
Workforce Development coordinators are often faced with needs assessment results, pointing to training needs and gaps. Often with limited budgets and timeframes, coordinators need to know what trainings already exist. This Rapid Environmental Scan is one resource to fulfill that need!
Please see a presentation about the Rapid Environmental Scan by Proximate Learning here.
Please see a spreadsheet of Strategic Skill available trainings here.
The eight Strategic Skills, defined and revised by the National Consortium of Public Health Workforce Development and the deBeaumont Foundation, are seen as critical for public health leaders at all levels to be able to face the persisitent, complex long term challenges in our communities in today’s public health environment.
