We are currently in the middle of a worldwide outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). The disease was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei, China and has since spread over the world. More than 80,000 cases have been identified worldwide, including up to 3,000 deaths, surpassing the 2003 SARS epidemic.

Facts are changing daily about the outbreak. This panel brings together experts in infectious disease as well as in ethics and human rights to discuss what we know, and perhaps as importantly what we do not know, while keeping an eye on what we should be doing as the outbreak evolves.
