NEPHTC is pleased to announce that we are partnering with the New Hampshire Public Health Association as our Local Performance Site.  Their fall conference focus is health equity, which means that everyone in New Hampshire has a chance to be as healthy as possible. Join your New Hampshire and Vermont peers for a thoughtful day of exploring how to create conditions that lead to health equity.

Two powerhouse keynote speakers are lined up for the event:

Camara P. Jones, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D. is a family physician and epidemiologist whose work focuses on the impacts of racism on the health and well-being of the nation. She seeks to broaden the national health debate to include not only universal access to high quality health care, but also attention to the social determinants of health (including poverty) and the social determinants of equity (including racism).  Dr. Jones is the immediate past president of the American Public Health Association.

James Weinstein, D.O., M.S., chaired the Committee on Community-Based Solutions to Promote Health Equity in the United States for the National Academy of Sciences that produced the report Communities in Action: Pathways to Health Equity published January 2017. He is the former CEO and President of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System; Professor of Orthopaedics; Professor of Health Policy and Clinical Practice; and holder of the Peggy Y. Thomson endowed chair in the Evaluative Clinical Sciences.
