| Content | The material is a Murid newspaper which deals with the statements made by leaders of the Murid youth organization at the closing session of the Bamba Celebration Evening held on December 31, 1981 in Dakar. The documents include activity reports and expressions of gratitude to the people who contributed to the organization and success of the Bamba Celebration Evening. The advice and support of Sëriñ Abdul Ahad Mbakke, the Calif of Muridiyya, is appreciated. The material also describes some innovative initiatives in this year’s celebration. These include an exhibition of Bamba’s works and his heritage, which attracted numerous people. The federation announces the creation of local committees in different districts in Dakar, including in seven other regions of Senegal and in the diaspora. Plans are discussed about establishing schools in all of those regions to provide children with good education based on Bamba’s teachings. |
