Content | The poem is a tribute to Almaami Alfaajo (death c. 1751) also known as Karamoko Alfa, Alfa Ibrahim, or Ibrahima Musa Sambeghu, the leader who helped to create the first Fula Muslim state of Fuuta Jalon. Alfaajo is remembered by the poet for his virtues and achievements. Various aspects of his legacy in Fuuta Jalon are discussed. His achievements that the poet celebrates include his teaching and efforts to expand Islamic knowledge in Fuuta Jalon. The poet prays for him so that he may enter the highest level of heaven. |
