These scholars lived in different regions of Fuuta Jalon, as some of their nicknames indicate. During their lives, they trained numerous generations of students and scholars in Fuuta Jalon, and had a significant impact in spreading Islam and strengthening Islamic practice. Their legacies and influence endure in Fuuta Jalon and in Fula communities in Africa and the diaspora. |
