Cara Lewis Awarded for the FastOA Initiative

The Arthritis Foundation has awarded Cara Lewis as part of their Osteoarthritis Clinical Trial Network initiative called FastOA. To carry out this initiative, the Human Adaptation Lab (HAL) at Boston University will be evaluating hip morphology and movement in young female athletes (18 to 30 years old).

Happy (belated) biomechanics day! The Human Adaptation Lab hosted winners of the Mass STEM Hub Student Industry Connects competition and their high school biomedical sciences class for a day of motion capture, forces, and fun. Cara Lewis, Lauren Sara, and Varsha Cidambi attended the American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Sections Meeting in San Diego, CA last month. Lauren presented her poster on Double- and Single-Leg Drop-Landing Impacts in Female and Male Army Trainees. Varsha presented her poster on the Effect of Non-Stance Limb Positioning on Single Leg Squat Kinetics.
