Mobile & Electronic Health ARC’s Lightning Talks Event

ME-ARC Lightning Talks:

“Innovations in Digital Health Interventions”

November 20th, 2024, 11:00a – 1:00p

Instructional Building, 72 East Concord Street, Evans Seminar Room 112a

The ME-ARC held an event entitled “Innovations in Digital Health Interventions” to share ongoing research in digital health interventions, form new collaborations and reignite old ones, and identify next steps for the ME-ARC and digital health at BU. Twelve faculty members from both campuses and numerous departments (CAS, GSDM, Medicine, School of Public Health, Questrom, Sargent, Social Work, and VA Boston), presented 5-minute lightning presentations on their recent work. Following that, a group lunch and discussion ensued among attendees. The ME-ARC and symposium attendees will reconvene in January to operationalize future directions. We hope that this event will serve as a catalyst to continue to evolve the ME-ARC and digital health at BU.  Please contact the ME-ARC if you would  like to be involved.

About the ME-ARC:  Founded in 2016 by Belinda Borrelli, PhD, the mission of the Mobile & Electronic Health ARC (ME-ARC) is to conduct transdisciplinary research and training with an emphasis on developing and testing digital solutions to improve health and wellness, particularly among disparity-facing populations. To foster collaboration, the ME-ARC holds monthly seminars, annual symposia, assesses BU digital needs through discussion groups and surveys, and provides consultation to BU researchers. The ME-ARC established a pilot funding program, which helped launch a number of collaborations and resulted in publications and funded grants.
