Mobile and Electronic Health ARC Seminar | October 2024

Please join us on Wednesday, October 23rd from 12-1pm for our virtual seminar, “Developing and Testing a VR Game Intervention for the Prevention and Cessation of Vaping in High Schoolers.”  

 Dr. Belinda Borrelli is a Clinical Psychologist, Professor and Director of The Center for Behavioral Science Research at Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Manchester, UK. Her research focuses on motivating health behavior change across a wide variety of behaviors (e.g., smoking, vaping, oral health, treatment adherence, asthma, dietary, physical activity) and diverse populations. She specializes in treatment development, particularly for underserved populations and those who are unmotivated to change, and integrating treatments into public health contexts. She has developed and tested mobile health platforms for health behavior change across different platforms (mobile apps, text messaging, Virtual Reality). She has served on grant review panels in the US, Europe, and the UK, and as advisor to several NIH institutes and is currently Associate Editor at American Psychologist.  She was named “TEDMED Research Scholar” in 2015 and “Research Collaborator of the Year” in 2017 by the Evans Center/IBRO.
