Mobile and Electronic Health ARC Seminar | September 2024

Please join us on Wednesday, September 18th from 12-1pm for our seminar, “Using Virtual Reality in Health Care and Treating Mental Illness.”

 

Our presenters, Simon Lajboschitz and Mads Lopes are experts in virtual reality (VR) in healthcare research. Mr. Lajboschitz is the CEO and co-founder of HekaVR, based in Denmark. One project focuses on how to use VR-enabled Avatar Therapy for people with treatment resistant schizophrenia. Mr. Lopes is a partner at Khora and has a Master’s of Science from Aalborg University. He studies techno-anthropology, a field meant to promote innovative perspectives and approaches towards responsible technological change. He currently leads ten research projects in the extended reality (XR) space. In their presentation, Simon and Mads will present some of their work in using VR and XR in healthcare and mental health research as well as describe lessons learned throughout their projects.
