Marcus A. Winters, Ph.D.
Marcus A. Winters, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the School of Education at Boston University. His research primarily focuses on measuring the impact of modern education reforms, especially those focused on accountability, school choice, and teacher quality.
Winters has published academic articles in a variety of peer reviewed journals including Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, Educational Researcher, and Education Finance and Policy. He currently serves as a member of the editorial boards for Educational Researcher and Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis.
In addition to his academic work, Winters has written numerous articles on education policy topics for popular media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and USA Today.
He lives with his wife and two children in Brookline, Massachusetts.
