Rachel is a research Fellow at the Center for Global Health and Development at Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH). She works on monitoring and evaluation on the MAHMAZ project, which aims to increase access to health facilities and safer deliveries for pregnant women who live far away (>10km) from a health facility through the utilization of Mothers’ Shelters in Zambia. Rachel is originally from Hong Kong, but came to the U.S. and got her B.A. in Health:Science, Society, and Policy from Brandeis University. She worked at an ENT and facial plastic surgery private practice for two years, and then went on to get her Master of Public Health degree from BUSPH, where she concentrated in Global Health.
