New open access publication in JAMA Network Open on physical therapy and opioid use in people with total knee replacement

Physical therapy before or after surgery, outpatient physical therapy initiated within 30 days of surgery, and 6 or more sessions of outpatient physical therapy after surgery are associated with reduced likelihood of long-term opioid use. Data from ~ 67,000 patients.
