Video Clips:  Development of the CPVN                                [Back to CPVN v1.1]

Code Walkthrough Video: Overview of technical development carried out in Fall 2023 and early Spring 2024, including description of project structure and design considerations, description of core logic of the computational grid, mathematical analysis of SVG positions, scripts, rendering, and various design considerations.  (Narrated by Zikun Wang)

Demonstration of Core Grid Variables:  Shows grid parameter selection options – grid size, gridline views (viewable, opaque, and hidden), and options for selecting density of letters in Letter Cancellation Task. (Video is not narrated)

Demonstration of Grid Configuration and Image Selection:  This video shows the three grid configurations. Demonstration then moves to the images of a house and a cube (adaptations from the Boston Visuospatial Battery) — shows how the images can be repositioned on the grid, across all three grid configurations.  The video shows the Patient and Examiner Screens side by side — with examiner screen on the right and patient screen on the left.  This serves illustration purposes only.  In actual usage, only a single screen in displayed. (Video is not narrated.)

Calibration using the Line Bisection Test:  This video illustrates a key feature of the platform regarding calibration and quantification of neglect for the purpose of establishing baseline values and obtaining measures of validity.  The Line Bisection Test is applied before the image test is applied, and a gradient of neglected, computed from the Line Bisection test, is used as a reference.  If the gradient computed from the Image Test does not correspond to the gradient computed from Line Bisection, the clinician is advised to repeat test trials.  Inconsistencies in neglect patterns within a testing session are also flagged based on this measure.
