Jesse Moreira-Bouchard, PhD

Clinical Assistant Professor of Human Physiology

Dr. Moreira-Bouchard is an interdisciplinary pathophysiologist with a background studying cardiovascular disease. Their research is prinicpaly focused on identifying the mechanisms of hypertension and hypertensive heart disease, and includes the use of techniques from molecular biology and bioinformatics to human clinical cardiovascular and autonomic testing. They previously completed a postdoc with the iCAMP group, and have since joined as an investigator. Dr. Moreira-Bouchard currently studies the pathophysiology of hypertension and stress in adult cohorts with iCAMP, as well as stress in marginalized communities as the PI of the BU Q.U.E.E.R. Lab. Outside of lab, Dr. Moreira-Bouchard enjoys running, coffee, and a good shopping spree.
