iCARE
The Inclusive Consent and Access to Resources for Everyone (iCARE) Study is trying to understand the role that minor consent laws play in HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing, treatment, and prevention services use among US adolescents, how much teens know about accessing HIV/STI services, and how their knowledge impacts their use of HIV/STI services.
This work is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (R01MH119892, PI: Nelson).
On June 27, 2024, the iCARE Youth Advisory Board published an op-ed in Public Health Post about the importance of youth involvement in sexual health research. Read it here: The Sexual Health of U.S. Youth is Under Attack
