Dean Peacock

Dean Peacock has been involved in work and scholarship related to violence prevention and health equity for the last three decades. He is affiliated with the School of Public Health at the University of Cape Town’s, the Gender Centre at the Geneva Graduate Institute, and the Violence, Inequality and Power Lab at the University of San Diego. Dean is the co-founder and co-director of the Global Coalition for WHO Action on Firearm Violence and the co-founder and former director of Sonke Gender Justice, one of South Africa’s best known health and human rights NGOs. His writing has been published widely.
