My research focuses on the biogeochemistry of marine refractory dissolved organic matter (RDOM). More specifically, I study the photochemistry of these molecules and their role in the global carbon cycle using interdisciplinary approaches. Originally from the Chicagoland area, I came to Boston University after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology and a minor in Biology from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA.
