About Us
Our Mission
The Center for Trauma and Mental Health at the Boston University School of Public strives be a thought-leader in the conceptualization of trauma and mental health conditions as public health problems. As a cross-disciplinary hub, the Center convenes researchers, educators, clinicians, policymakers, students, and community members working to advance research, education, and public health interventions for trauma and mental health. Further, the Center has a fundamental mission to support work that improves our understanding of the effects of experiences that are not formally defined as traumatic, particularly those that disproportionately impact people from marginalized and underserved groups.
