The Effects of Bilingualism on Language and Cognition Ages 4 – 6 Years

Dual-language input and code-switching are unique to the bilingual experience, and this difference in language input may impact comprehension and vocabulary development. In this study, we are using two types of storybooks to analyze how the format of bilingual language presentation in a natural sounding story affects word learning and listening comprehension in Spanish-English bilingual children.
