Melanie Thomas

Melanie (she/her/hers) is a second-year master’s student in the Speech-Language Pathology program at Boston University. She graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Speech, Language and Hearing Science and a minor in cognitive neuroscience in 2022. At Temple, Melanie was a research assistant in Dr. Rebecca Alper’s Language, Literacy, and Learning Lab, where she worked to improve family-focused early language intervention for at-risk children. She is excited to expand her research experience in language acquisition and bilingualism through the Bilingual Learning Lab. In her free time, Melanie enjoys baking, reading, and exploring Boston.
