Haley Weaver

Postdoctoral Associate

Haley Weaver (she/hers) is a postdoctoral fellow in the Bilingual Learning Lab.

She received her doctorate in developmental psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2025. Her graduate work explored how experience with objects shapes infants’ word meanings. Broadly, Haley is  interested in what infants and children learn about words, and how they come to learn this knowledge from their experiences in the world (e.g., input, language, and environment). She is excited to begin exploring whether and how differences in what children learn about words can help us understand diverse language trajectories.

Beyond her interest in word learning, Haley enjoys spending time doing water-related activities (e.g., paddle boarding), exploring new restaurants, and watching The Great British Bake Off.
