CCH Affiliates Present Case Studies for the Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast Seminar
Faculty and staff from the Boston University (BU) Center for Climate and Health showcased the depth and breadth of their research for the Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast (CCRUN), a NOAA funded Climate Adaptation Partnerships (CAP/RISA) program. CCRUN convenes a strong network of climate research and subject matter experts, decision-makers, local and municipal officials, and communities along the urban corridor running from Philadelphia to New York City, to Boston. Highlights included: an overview of the BU Center for Climate and Health, the CAFE Research Coordinating Center of the NIH Climate Change and Health Initiative, the GeoCAFE Research Coordination Network of the NSF, and illustrative climate, energy and health case studies presented by Professors Greg Wellenius, Amruta Nori-Sarma, Jon Levy, Ian Sue Wing, and Lucy Hutyra. The event was hosted/moderated by CCRUN co-PIs Professor Franco Montalto (Drexel) and Professor Patricia Fabian (Boston University). The recording of the seminar is available here.
