Cource description: This course will examine current research on the neurobiological and genetic bases of behavior. Topics covered include Evolutionary Psychology, sex differences in brain and behavior, aggression and social behavior. We will evaluate how research on different model systems, including nematodes, fruit flies, and mice, has led current concepts and understanding of human behavior. The class will focus on reading and discussion of primary literature. Basic knowledge of neurobiology is required.
