Vertex Conference Support
BUWIC is still accepting applications for conference support up to $200 for all graduate students and post-docs. We have 8 awards available and all applications will now be reviewed on a rolling basis until the remaining awards have been distributed. Vertex Conference Support
This is an announcement that applications are currently being accepted for conference support to grad students and post-docs! The funding is available to BUWIC members presenting at regional or national meetings. Thanks to funding from Vertex Pharmaceuticals, BUWIC will reimburse up to $200 in registration fees.
Interested BUWIC members can download the application at our website: http://chemhelp.bu.edu/buwic/resources/. All applications received by November 1st, 2013 will be reviewed together, and on a rolling basis after that for allocation of remaining funds. Five awards will be granted in the fall, and five additional awards will be granted in the spring.
Vertex Summer Fellowship 2013-2014

Vertex Summer Fellowship 2012-2013
We are pleased to announce a new high school mentorship program beginning this summer. We will be accepting students from the Boston Public High Schools to work with graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in a six-week program to introduce them to and help them learn skills in basic chemical and biochemical research.The program will run from June 25th to August 3rd, 2012 followed by poster presentations from the students in a summer research symposium.
This outreach fellowship is made possible by a generous support grant from Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

Vertex Conference Grant Deadline Extended!
There is still funding available for conference application fees from the generous support of Vertex. We have extended the deadline for applications until June 1st! (or until all funding has been allocated). This will allow for those attending conferences this spring to apply.
The award is for BUWIC members to cover conference fees (up to $200).

All applications received by November 1, 2011 will be reviewed together. Any subsequent applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all of the funds for 2011-2012 have been allocated.
