I am a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and the Division of Systems Engineering and an Affiliate Professor with the Department of Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at Boston University (BU). I am a member of the Machine Learning, Information and Data Sciences (MINDS) Group of the ECE department and the Center for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE).

Note to prospective students: I am looking for students interested in pursuing theoretical research on the Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence. This requires an excellent background in mathematics, creativity to intuit, formulate, and prove theorems, develop new algorithms, and abilities to design and conduct computer-based experiments to motivate or/and corroborate new theoretical results or/and performance of algorithms within the context of real-world applications.
