We are seeking applicants for a full-time Research Analyst position in the Communication Neuroscience Research Laboratory at Boston University (PI: Tyler Perrachione; http://sites.bu.edu/cnrlab/). Our research uses structural and functional neuroimaging and careful behavioral experiments to investigate the brain bases of speech, hearing, and language, and their dysfunction in developmental communication disorders.

Position Description
The Research Analyst position is supported by a NIH-funded study to perform quantitative neuroanatomical measurements of MRI data from children and adults with and without dyslexia. This position will be responsible for data management, pre-processing of structural neuroimaging data, and conducting volumetric, morphological, morphometric, and geometric analysis of brain structure and its development in the sample. Other duties include assisting with the design, acquisition, analysis and publication of behavioral, MRI and EEG studies with human subjects. The position is contingent upon the continued availability of grant funding, with an initial hire term of one year.

Required Skills
Strong applicants will demonstrate prior experience in more than one of the following skills; (1) research with human subjects, (2) collecting or analyzing cognitive neuroscience data including structural MRI, fMRI, DTI, EEG, ERP or tDCS, (3) strong quantitative skills including programming experience and comfort working with diverse scientific software (Python, R, Matlab, Linux, FreeSurfer), (4) academic study related to computer science and/or cognitive neuroscience; (5) high conscientiousness, with strong quantitative, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should have a BA/BS or graduate degree in neuroscience; computer science; biomedical engineering; psychology; cognitive science; linguistics; speech, language, and hearing sciences / communication sciences and disorders; or a related field.

Initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
