Yang graduated from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, Anhui, P. R. China, with a bachelor\u2019s degree in Chemical Physics in 1999. She obtained a Master of Philosophy in 2000 by studying theoretical chemistry with Professor. Yijin Yan at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Then, she obtained her doctoral degree in Chemistry at Harvard University in 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Charles M. Lieber. Prof. Yang then worked as an associate in McKinsey &amp; Co, a business consulting company, from June 2006 to July 2007. Prof. Yang joined Department of Chemistry and Department of Physics as an Assistant Professor at Purdue University in August, 2007 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2013. She is currently Professor in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Department of Chemistry at Boston University.<\/p>\n<p><span><em><strong>P<\/strong><\/em>rof. Yang\u2019s current research interest is designing materials and devices for neuromodulation for fundamental\u00a0studies and clinical applications. Her previous research has been published in high profile journals, including <em>Science<\/em> and <em>Nature<\/em> and been featured by many public press releases, including <em>Chemical and Engineering News<\/em>, <em>Harvard Gazette<\/em> magazine. She was a NSF Career Award recipient and is AIMEB fellow since 2022. Prof. Yang is Associate Chair for Master Program in Department of Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering at Boston University.
