Boston University men\u2019s ice hockey (12-10-1, 8-7-0 HE) is set to take on the Providence College Friars (13-7-2, 8-3-1 HE) for a home-and-away weekend series.<\/p>\n

Last weekend, the Terriers salvaged a split against UMass with a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. Junior forward Jack Harvey scored two goals in Friday\u2019s loss, including the team\u2019s seventh shorthanded goal of the season. Sophomore forward Cole Hutson scored the game winner Saturday and leads BU with 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists).<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s games you\u2019re gonna lose, but you can\u2019t beat yourselves,\u201d BU Head Coach Jay Pandolfo said. \u201cYou\u2019re not always gonna feel your best, but you still can play the game the right way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goaltender Mikhail Yegorov bounced back after Friday\u2019s loss, making 23 saves for his second shutout of the month. Yegorov has a .903 save percentage and is likely to start Friday.<\/p>\n

In their last meeting, BU earned an 8-2 home win against Providence and is 8-1-1 in the last 10 matchups. The Terriers hold a 59-33-13 all-time record against the Friars, including 30-11-7 at home and 26-21-6 on the road.<\/p>\n

Providence is coming off a weekend sweep of Boston College, with a 4-3 overtime win Friday and a 4-3 regulation victory Saturday. The Friars have won four in a row.<\/p>\n

Since taking over for injured goaltender Philip Sv\u00ebdback, freshman goaltender Jack Parsons has won all four starts. Parsons is 4-1-0 this season with a .917 save percentage and figures to start this weekend.<\/p>\n

Freshman forward Roger McQueen had three points over the weekend (two goals, one assist) and leads Providence with 19 points. McQueen and teammate Julius Sumpf lead the Friars with 11 assists apiece.<\/p>\n

\u201cProvidence is a really good team,\u201d Pandolfo said. \u201cThere\u2019s gonna be challenges and we have to understand as a team it\u2019s not gonna be easy. We have to have that mindset going into the game.\u201d<\/p>\n
