The Terriers travel to Conte Forum for a 6 p.m. puck drop on Thursday, Nov. 13, before returning to host the Eagles at Agganis Arena at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14.

“One of the benefits of being on the road, I think we all just need to take a deep breath, have fun, enjoy each other’s company, and just take the pressure off and just go out and play,” Head Coach Tara Watchorn said.

BU split its weekend series with Maine, falling 3-1 in the first game and earning a 2-1 victory in the second.

Junior forward Neely Nicholson scored shorthanded in the loss, and freshman defender Avery Supryka tallied her first collegiate assist. In Saturday’s win, senior forward Sydney Healey and senior forward Clara Yuhn each posted a goal and an assist.

Graduate goaltender Michelle Pasiechnyk started both contests, combining for 59 saves across the weekend.
Ten Terriers have scored a goal this season, while 12 have earned at least one assist.

BU leads Hockey East with a .541 faceoff win percentage. The Terriers’ three shorthanded goals top the conference and are tied for first in the NCAA.

Boston College is 5-6-1 overall and 4-2-1 in Hockey East play. The Eagles most recently split a series with then-No. 8 UConn, losing 3-1 at home and winning 2-1 in Storrs. BC is 1-5-0 against ranked teams this season.

“It’s always a fun matchup, a fun rivalry,” Watchorn said. “It’s why you want to play college hockey in Boston. We like playing against fast teams and skilled teams, and it makes sure you have to have good attention to detail. It’s a great game to really challenge that commitment to our defensive detail in order to generate offense and stop their 200-foot speed and their skill.”

Freshman forward Ava Thomas leads Hockey East in points (16), shots (87), and game-winning goals (3). Goaltender Grace Campbell has started all 12 games for the Eagles and paces the conference with 387 saves.

BC is receiving votes in both the USA Hockey and USCHO polls this week and ranks second in the Hockey East standings.

“That freshman they brought in definitely has a lot of talent,” Watchorn said of Thomas. “They still have some good talent as well, but I think just an aggressive forecheck, opportunistic off the rush, and when you give up chances, they’re going to make you pay.”

BU holds a 28-39-8 all-time record against BC, including a 12-16-4 mark at Conte Forum and a 12-3-3 record at home. The Terriers are 0-1-0 at Agganis Arena. BU defeated BC 3-2 in double overtime in the 2025 Hockey East semifinals and enters this week on a three-game win streak against the Eagles.

In 2024, BU hosted BC at Agganis and set home and Hockey East attendance records with a crowd of 2,866. Fans attending this Friday’s game will have a chance to receive a Red the Rink T-shirt and light-up sticks, while supplies last.

“Someone that’s so obviously skilled and can shoot the puck to play so effectively with contact with the puck, on her stick and without, I think it’s a subtle part of her game that not a lot of people recognize,” Watchorn said of Healey. “But also just her breakaway here, 200-foot speed. When other teams make mistakes, she can make you pay.”

Senior forward Sydney Healey leads BU in points (10), goals (5), and assists (5) this season. Her points per game (1.00) and goals per game (1.00) are fifth in Hockey East, and her two game-winning goals are second in the league and 11th in the NCAA.

Senior forward Lilli Welcke paces BU with 126 faceoff wins, ranking second in Hockey East and 19th nationally. Her faceoff win percentage (60.3) is tied for the lead in the conference.

Pasiechnyk owns a .918 save percentage, ranked sixth in Hockey East, while junior goaltender Mari Pietersen’s .887 ranks 13th.

The Terriers will look to carry their momentum into the Battle of Comm. Ave., aiming for a fourth consecutive win over the Eagles.

Both games will stream on ESPN+, and Friday’s contest will also stream on TSN+.

Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at Conte Forum and 7 p.m. Friday at Agganis Arena.

Featured Image by Jenny Chen By Marianne Zemmes Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (2-8-0, 2-3-0 HE) will face Boston College (5-6-1, 4-2-1 HE) in a home-and-home series this week.
