{"id":47007,"date":"2025-03-08T11:33:02","date_gmt":"2025-03-08T16:33:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/wtbu\/?p=47007"},"modified":"2025-03-08T11:34:11","modified_gmt":"2025-03-08T16:34:11","slug":"mens-hockey-regular-season-wrapping-up-with-one-final-road-game-against-uvm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/wtbu\/2025\/03\/08\/mens-hockey-regular-season-wrapping-up-with-one-final-road-game-against-uvm\/","title":{"rendered":"Men&#8217;s Hockey: Terriers will wrap up the regular season with one final road game against UVM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Featured image by Holly Gustavsen <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>By Hannah Connors<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>After clinching the third seed and home-ice advantage in the Hockey East playoffs, the Boston University Terriers (19-12-2, 12-8-2 HE) will face the University of Vermont Catamounts (11-19-3, 6-15-2 HE) at the Gutterson Fieldhouse in their last game of the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>The Terriers are coming off an impressive 8-2 win over the Providence College Friars (20-9-5, 10-8-5 HE) on Thursday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>BU demonstrated their depth with five different goal scorers and ten different players tallying an assist in the victory over the Friars.<\/p>\n<p>The Coles continued to shine for the Terriers.<\/p>\n<p>Forward Cole Eiserman recorded his second collegiate hat trick against the Friars. He has developed into a strong two-way player in the second half of the season, posting nine blocks defensively compared to just three in the first half of the season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the game, we\u2019re up seven or eight to one, and he eats a puck in the ribs,\u201d Coach Pandolfo said of Eiserman. \u201cThat says a lot about his character as a player.,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recently named Hockey East Rookie of the Month and National Rookie of the Month, defenseman Cole Hutson also made significant contributions for BU on Thursday. Hutson netted one goal, provided two assists, and made two blocks, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the ice.<\/p>\n<p>The Terriers are expected to start freshman netminder Mikhail Yegorov. Yegorov posted an impressive .971 save percentage against Providence, one of his best performances of the season, bringing his overall save percentage to .935.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s just steady in there\u2026He\u2019s confident. He\u2019s a presence in the net,\u201d Pandolfo said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vermont will likely give Axel Mangbo the nod in net.
