Boston University women’s hockey (4-3-0, 4-1-0 HEA) will take to the ice again this Friday and Saturday in a weekend series against Syracuse University (2-5-0, 0-0-0 AHA) at the Tennity Ice Pavilion in Syracuse, N.Y. <\/p>\n

“Attention to detail [is] truly what’s going to help serve us\u2026 I’m excited for us to get on the road and have some time together off campus as well so it’s going to be a good opportunity,” Coach Tara Watchorn said ahead of the series matchup. <\/p>\n

After the Terriers completed a weekend sweep against the University of Maine Black Bears last weekend, BU looks forward to taking home more wins in this series game.<\/p>\n

The Terries have a 1-0-2 all-time record against Syracuse, with BU earning their first win against the Syracuse Orange during their last meeting in Oct. of last year. <\/p>\n

It is the Terrier’s first time playing at Syracuse, which adds a unique element to the game that the team has not experienced before. <\/p>\n

“It will be different\u2026 just another test to see if you can bring consistency when the external factors are treated,” Watchorn said about the unfamiliar environment the team faces this weekend. <\/p>\n

This past week, Lola Reid received the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for her second honor of the season. Reid scored a goal and tallied two assists in last week’s series against the Black Bears.<\/p>\n

BU’s offense has been struggling, as Watchorn noted that her team created just as many opportunities for Maine to score last weekend as they made for themselves. <\/p>\n

“As we start to implement a little bit more, hopefully, dynamic offensive strategy with our group\u2026 the maturity with the puck and punk management will continue to increase,” Watchorn said about her plans to implement a more progressive strategy to make the Terrier offense effective. “So [that way], we can have that combination of solid defense at the same time for future generations.” <\/p>\n

The weekend series is set for a 6 p.m. puck drop on Oct. 25, followed by a 3 p.m. matinee start time the following day. Both games will be available to stream on FloHockey. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
